Bike Repair 101

  • Cashmere Middle School 300 Tigner Road Cashmere, WA, 98815 United States (map)

This workshop will be a one hour training in bike repair, helmet fitting and teaching how to ride a bike. It will be directly followed by a quarterly bike repair workshop put on by the Cashmere Middle School Bike Repair Club (CMS BRC). We encourage you to come for this workshop (11am - 12pm) and stay for part of the larger community workshop hosted afterwards (12pm - 2pm). If you are feeling confident in your bike repair skills, your ability to teach someone how to ride, or how to fit someone for a helmet, you are welcome to help out at the second workshop!

Cost: Free

The CMS BRC service club offers free bike repair to anyone that needs it, free bike giveaway to anyone who needs a bike, free helmet giveaway, and free learn to ride lessons to anyone who wants to ride a bike (w/o the impediment of training wheels). The CMS BRC has been doing 4-6 such events per year for the last 7 years and has given away 686 bikes and done countless bike repairs for anyone that needs it.  We take donated bikes, refurbish them and then give them away, no questions asked.  We teach middle schools how to repair bikes, how to be caring, how to be safe and how to be critical thinkers.
