Introduction to usage and safe handling of hand power tools. What is the difference between a drill and a driver, and more!! The workshop is held in partnership with NCW Woodshop.
Upcycled Holiday Craft Night
Celebrate the winter holidays with Waste Loop, Mary Charlee Designs, and Small Change Creative Reuse with a night of upcycled crafting. We will be repurposing old holiday cards, gift bags and tissue paper into ornaments and holiday decorations, making mini birdhouse ornaments from salvaged lumber, and collaging together all sorts of fun paper scraps into holiday cards - choose to work on one project or all of them!
Seasonal Abundance: a low waste cooking series - Potato
Seasonal Abundance: a low waste cooking series is a hands-on workshop bringing together community members to share in the seasonal bounty of NCW. Participants will learn low waste cooking techniques from local chefs while preparing several recipes using a featured produce item and other regionally bountiful ingredients. In November the featured ingredient will be potato!

Participants will learn low waste cooking techniques from local chefs while preparing several recipes using a featured produce item and other regionally bountiful ingredients. In October the featured ingredient will be pumpkin and other winter squash varieties!

About the Green Future Fund
We’re aiming to raise $50,000 by the end of 2024 through our Green Future Fund campaign. Your support is crucial in helping us achieve this goal and advance our mission. Here’s what your support will help us achieve:
Salvage: Your funding will help us hire a salvage crew and acquire resources to reclaim materials from buildings, preventing waste and providing affordable resources to the community.
Tool Maintenance and Repair: Funding will maintain and repair our tools, keeping prices low and making tools accessible to more people.
Enhanced Accessibility: Donations will improve facility accessibility with ADA-compliant ramps and signage, ensuring everyone can use our services.
Community Events: Support will fund workshops on sustainability, tool usage, and repair cafes, fostering community engagement and skill-building.

Salvaged Denim Basket Making Class
Join us to learn how to turn denim and cloth scraps into a functional basket! We will have plenty of supplies, but if you have old jeans, please bring them with you!
Garden Tool Maintenance and Restoration Drop In Event
Do you have rusted shovel blades, dull shears, or a splintering wood handle on your rake? Come bring your gardening tools that need a little TLC and learn how to properly maintain and restore your tools and keep them in use! Volunteers will be on site to help clean, sharpen, and oil - and teach you these techniques so you can continue to care for your tools for years to come!

Have you ever finished a remodel and been astounded with how much waste was generated in the process? As part of WRI's Red Barn series, Waste Loop is proud to present on the critical issue of current building practices and showcase the transformative impact of deconstruction services and reuse facilities on waste reduction.
Upcycled Spring Craft Night
Come celebrate Springtime with Waste Loop, Mary Charlee Designs, and Colchuck Consignment with a night of upcycled crafting. Two craft stations will be set up - daffodil paper flower making and handmade paper making - both created using egg cartons! Participants can choose which craft group to join, and can rotate throughout the night.
