Seasonal Abundance: a low waste cooking series - Tomato, Pepper, Corn

  • Tierra Learning Center (map)
Seasonal Abundance: a low waste cooking series is a hands-on workshop bringing together community members to share in the seasonal bounty of NCW. Participants will learn low waste cooking techniques from local chefs while preparing several recipes using a featured produce item and other regionally bountiful ingredients. Each participant will leave with several new recipes and the inspiration to reduce food waste in their own kitchen. After enjoying a meal together, the extra prepared food will be shared with the Community Cupboard.
In September the featured ingredients will be tomato, pepper, and corn. The possibilities are endless with these three ingredients and salsas are a delicious and low waste way to combine the bounty of the harvest.
This workshop is free but advanced registration is required. Please RSVP here, space is limited!
